JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to grant permission by levying Cart Track Tax for the pipeline through S.F.No.456 to take water to Survey Nos.457/1A etc., Chettiyakkapalayam Village, Kinathukadavu Taluk, Coimbatore District by considering the petitioner's application dated 06.01.2014.
2. Mr.V.Ravi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his representation as early as on 06.01.2014, the 1st respondent has not considered the same yet.
3. Mr.S.V.Dorai Solaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the 1st respondent submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation within a time frame in accordance with law.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 06.01.2014 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
