Hence, we dismiss the appeal.
Learned counsel, however, prays that the application of the appellants made on 18.3.2014 may be directed to be considered by the Government sympathetically. Accepting his prayer, we direct the Government to consider the application of the appellants sympathetically within fortnight from the date of communication of this order, provided it has not been disposed of as on today. In case the prayer of the appellants is to be refused, opportunity of personal hearing may be given to them. Any action taken will abide by the decision of the Government.
There will be no order as to costs.
Consequently, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed.
