JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR W.P. NO. 34432 OF 2014 Date of Judgment: 8.12.2014 Between:
K. Neela Reddy And …Petitioner The State of Telangana and others ..Respondents THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR W.P. No. 34432 OF 2014 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The petitioner complains that the respondents 2 to 5 were not taking any action against the respondent No.6 even though a complaint against them was lodged with the police on 5.11.2014. The petitioner also complains that the respondents 2 to 5 were harassing and insisting him to settle the disputes with the respondent No.6 in the police station.
Learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents 1 to 5, on instructions, submits that there is a civil dispute pending between the petitioner and the respondent No.6, and the wife of respondent No.6 made a complaint on 13.11.2014 against the petitioner and eight others alleging that on 30.10.2014 they dug a pond on the approach road to her house, abused her in filthy language, beat her with hands and threatened to kill her and the said complaint was registered as a case in Cr.No. 142 of 2014 and it was pending investigation. The learned Government Pleader for Home further states that while so, the petitioner’s complaint dated 5.11.2014 made before the respondent No.2 was sent to the respondent No.5 who, after making enquiries, found that there was a civil dispute between the petitioner and the respondent No.6. The learned Government Pleader for Home lastly submits that in view of the civil dispute there was no role of the respondents- police to interfere in the civil dispute and there was no question of the respondents-police pressurising the petitioner to settle the civil dispute.
As evident from the above submissions, the respondents-police are conscious of the pendency of the civil dispute between the petitioner and the respondent No.6 and hence they have not interfered with the said dispute. To the extent of the crime registered against the petitioner and others, the respondents-police are at liberty to investigate the same and take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
