ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed feeling aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents in forwarding the petitioner’s application to the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) for grant of license to establish a saw-mill under the name and style of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Saw-mill at Sompuram Junction, Lakkavarapu Kota Mandal, Vizianagaram District.
Though a counter-affidavit is stated to have been filed by the respondents, the same has not reached the file. Be that as it may, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Forests (Andhra Pradesh) submitted that on receipt of the petitioner’s application, the same was processed; that after enquiry, information was furnished under Format-F by the lower hierarchy to the higher hierarchies; and that the information as to whether the same was forwarded to CEC by the State apparatus or not is not available.
In my opinion, the grievance of the petitioner is not only innocuous but also legitimate. Respondent No.2 is, therefore, directed to ensure that the petitioner’s application along with Format-F is forwarded to CEC as expeditiously as possible, and not later than two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
Subject to the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
As a sequel, WPMP.No.27747 of 2014 is disposed of as infructuous.
