JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner was operating on a regular valid permit as Limited Stop Fast Passenger service, the validity of which expired on 27.11.2014. The petitioner had filed an application for renewal within time. However, in the meanwhile, as per a Scheme brought out in G.O.(P).73/2013/Tran. dated 16.07.2013, the Government restricted the Fast Passenger Services to the KSRTC. Writ petitions were filed against the Scheme which were dismissed. An appeal is said to be pending in which there is no stay. However, the Government has come out with Ext.P3 Circular wherein temporary permits were directed to be issued subject to the decision of this Court in the pending matters. In such circumstances, it is only proper that the temporary permit application be considered WP(C).33168/14 2 and issued in accordance with Ext.P3 Circular, if there is no other impediment in law, within a period of one week from today. Writ petition disposed of.
