JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.G.Janakiraman, learned standing counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to transfer and renew the sewerage and water connection from the name of Thanjammal to the petitioner's name within a stipulated time.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a representation as early as on 28.06.2017 for name transfer, however, the respondent has not effected the name transfer till today.
4. Mr.G.Janakiraman, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.06.2017 for effecting name transfer and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
