JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON'BLE MR JUSTICE V.V.S.RAO WRIT PETITION No.4691 of 2007 20.3.2007 Between:
K.Indira Devi, W/o.K.Prakash Reddy AND The District Collector, Ranga Reddy District And another … Petitioner … Respondents THE HON'BLE MR JUSTICE V.V.S.RAO WRIT PETITION No.4691 of 2007 ORDER:
The petitioner purchased land admeasuring Acs.16.20 guntas in survey No.247/RU situated at Tummaleru Village of Maheswaram Mandal in Ranga Reddy District, from P.Yashodana Rao and R.Venkata Shiva Kumar, by paying sale consideration. The petitioner made application to the Mandal Revenue Officer, Maheswaram Mandal (MRO), under Section 5A of A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971 (the Act, for brevity) seeking regularization of unregistered transaction, by which the petitioner purchased the property. The petitioner alleges that though the application was made on 02.3.2006 within the period as stipulated under sub-rule (2) of Rule 22 of A.P. Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Rules, 1989 (the Rupes, for brevity), as amended by G.O.Ms.No.1765, dated 06.10.2005, the MRO did not pass any order. Therefore, the instant writ petition is filed seeking a direction to dispose of the application expeditiously.
At the stage of admission itself, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue (General-T), after getting instructions in the matter, submits that the notices in Form No.XI and Form No.XII of the Rules have been published and action has already been initiated. In view of this, the writ petition is disposed of, observing that the second respondent may pass appropriate orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The writ petition, with the above observations, is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
