Respondents Prayers: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to include the name of the petitioner in the temporary promotion list of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category I) as Additional Superintendent of Police (Category I) dated 29/09/2013 and temporarily promote the petitioner as Additional Superintendent of Police (Category I) without reference to the pending disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner under Rule 17(b) of TNCS (CCA) Rules, in P.R.No.32/2008 and P.R.No.75/2009 from the date of promotion of his immediate junior with all consequential service benefits.
