JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.J.Kumaran, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioners have filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the representation dated 19.12.2016, within a time frame.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that inspite of the petitioners' representation dated 19.12.2016, the respondent has not passed any order so far.
4. Mr.J.Kumaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioners' representation, in accordance with law.
5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 19.12.2016 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
