For Petitioner : Mr.R.Sankarasubbu For Respondents : Mr.C.Emalias, Addl. Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioner and her family members without due process of law.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she belongs to Kuravar Hindu Scheduled Caste Community. She owns a land measuring to an extent of 4 acres, in which, she is doing cultivation. While so, on 03.01.2017, a team of police headed by respondents 3 and 4, came to the house of the petitioner and assaulted her. They further damaged the house hold articles and humiliated the petitioner by using the name of her caste. They also threatened her by foisting false case against her and her family members. Apprehending the registration of false case, the petitioner sent a representation dated 04.01.2017 to respondents 1 and 2, requesting to take appropriate action against respondents 3 and 4. Finding no response, she has come up with the present petition for the above stated relief.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the appearance of the petitioner is not required for any enquiry by the respondents 3 and 4.
4. Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
