The petitioner holds a regular permit, to conduct service, on the route Kottayam-Rajakkad, which regular permit is valid till 31.01.2015. The petitioner had applied for renewal of regular permit and the same was considered by the RTA, Idukki in its meeting held on 26.08.2014 and concurrence of the sister RTAs were called for. Pending consideration of the renewal application, the petitioner had filed an application for issuance of temporary permit under Section 87(1)(d). 2. In such circumstances, there will be a direction to the respondent to grant and issue the temporary permit as applied for, provided the renewed regular permit is not issued before the expiry of the existing permit, which is valid till 31.01.2015.
Writ petition is disposed of as above.
