The petitioner's vehicle bearing registration No.KL-33- E-4788 has been seized alleging transportation of ordinary sand without permit. It is found in Ext.P1 that the petitioner has transported the sand without valid permit. Therefore, in view of the above facts and circumstances, there shall be a direction to release the vehicle to the petitioner on executing a bond for the value of the vehicle with two sureties. It is made clear the release of the vehicle will not stand in the way of the 5th respondent Geologist or the 4th respondent Sub Inspector of Police in taking appropriate action against the petitioner, in accordance with law, if so warranted.
Writ petition is disposed of as above.
