The applicant original respondent in the main matter has taken out this application for seeking direction of payment of 17B wages. No one is present for the applicant.

Hingorani for Ms. Bhaya submitted that if the Court is inclined to allow the application, the same should be allowed and payment of 17B wages only from the date of his application be granted in light of the provision of Section 17B of the Industrial Disputes Act. This application is required to be allowed in terms of the provision of Section 17B of the I.D. Act from the date of the application.
The employer shall pay the last drawn wages by way of 17B wages to the applicant from the date of the application regularly till the final disposal of the main matter. The application is allowed. Rule made absolute to the aforesaid extent.
