Heard learned counsel for the applicant and Sri J.K. Upadhyay, learned A.G.A. for the respondent.
Learned counsel for the applicant submits that purpose of filing this application would be served if a direction is issued to the trial Court to conclude the trial within some time frame to be fixed by the Court. He points out that important witnesses have already been examined.
State counsel has no objection to this proposition.
This application is, accordingly, dismissed, as withdrawn. The trial court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the next date of recording the statement. The applicant is obliged to produce a certified copy of this order before the court concerned. Registry is directed to communicate this order to the trial court as also to the concerned District Judge.
