Petitioner, who was Incharge of Police Station Krishnanagar, Lucknow, has filed instant writ petition assailing the impugned order of transfer dated 4.1.2010 whereby he has been transferred from Lucknow to Azamgarh Range. In the writ petition especially in paragraphs 11 onwards it has been alleged that the petitioner has been transferred on account of stopping the convoy of the Member of Parliament of the Ruling Party, who has also been arrayed as one of the respondents in the writ petition.
Sri D.K.Upadhyaya, Chief Standing Counsel submits that he may be granted a weeks' time so that the matter may be referred for reconsideration by the Police Establishment Board in light of the averments made in the writ petition. Time as prayed is allowed. List this case on 10.2.2010. On that date, the report of the Police Establishment Board shall be produced before the Court. The record which has been produced before us pertaining to the petitioner is returned to the Chief Standing Counsel.
