The sole prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to decide Case No. 835 of 2013 under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (herein after referred to as the Act, 1955), within a specified time frame.
Counsel for the petitioner states that the defendant- respondent has already entered appearance and on 29.07.2019 an application filed by her under Section 24 of the Act was allowed. He further states that the petitioner will comply with the order dated 29.07.2019.
Section 21-B of the Act, 1955 specifically provides that all proceedings under the Act should be held on a day to day basis and effort should be made to conclude the proceedings as far as possible within six months from the date of service of the petition on the respondent.
In view of the aforesaid provisions under the Act 1955, I am of the opinion that no further direction is required.
