Petitioner's caste status was an issue for non-admission to three year L.L.B course. This Court by interim order dated 18.10.2012 directed the authorities to consider petitioner's claim for admission to general quota.
2. As reports stands now, petitioner cannot be treated as a scheduled Malayarayan. Petitioner has a grievance against such findings by the Vigilance Officer.
3. The petitioner has alternative remedy, petitioner shall approach screening committee in terms of Sec.8 of the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Regulation of Issue of Community Certificates Act, 1996.
Therefore, with liberty to the petitioner to approach screening committee, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
