The petitioner is the co-owner in possession of properties having an extent of 7.706 Ares comprised in Survey No.350/3, 63.55 Ares in Survey No.350/4 and 7.606 Ares in Survey No.350/5 of Chengamanad Village that lie as a single plot. The petitioner and the other co-owner jointly filed an application for building permit for constructing a commercial building in the aforementioned properties. This writ petition has been filed mainly with the prayer to direct the respondents for an expeditious consideration of Ext.P5 application. Considering the said prayer and also the nature of the order I propose to pass in this writ petition, I do not think it necessary to issue notice to the respondents in this proceedings. As noticed hereinbefore, the short prayer of the petitioner is only for a direction to the respondents to consider Ext.P5 application expeditiously. In the said circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider Ext.P5 application, if it is received and pending, expeditiously, at any rate, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this judgment. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observation as to the merits of the contentions.
