JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent of the learned counsel for both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner who claims to be the owner of the property comprised in T.S.No.2421/6 (old Survey No.56/6) in Nochimalai Panchayat, Tiruvannamalai District, apprehends disturbance from one G.Gandhi, son of Gopal, M.Sampath, son of Munusamy, A.Subramani, son of Annamalai, P.Renu son of Ponnusamy, Krishnapillai son of Vedipillai and other persons. In this connection, the petitioner gave a representation to the first respondent on 17.07.2017 seeking police direction. Since the representation has not been considered, the present petition is filed.
3. It is needles to point out that when the representation is made, it is the bounden duty of the respondent police to consider the representation in one way or the other, instead of keeping it pending.
4. In view of the limited prayer sought for, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in his representation, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.07.2017 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Such exercise shall be made after giving due opportunities to the petitioner and all other persons interested in the said property, referred to above.
With the above observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
