JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition aggrieved by Ext.P8 proceedings of the second respondent by which, she has been directed to close down a petroleum retail outlet conducted by her within a period of three days. The reason stated is that, the petitioner has not obtained a license that is required for the conduct of such establishments. The case of the petitioner is that, she has submitted application for the issue of a license. The same has not been granted, stating that the petitioner has not paid the property tax in respect of the building in her property. 2. I notice that the petitioner has a statutory remedy, provided by section 276 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994. The petitioner has admittedly not exhausted the said statutory remedy. Therefore, I am not inclined to admit this writ petition or to interfere with Ext.P8.
This writ petition is therefore dismissed. However, in order W.P.(C).No.27795 of 2014 2 to facilitate the petitioner to invoke the statutory remedy available to her, all further action based on or pursuant to Ext.P8 shall remain stayed for a period of 15 days from today.
