JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims that she belongs to Scheduled Caste community and is in possession of Adidravida Panjami land, through file No.8A/75/78, dated 23.04.1969 and her grievance is while updating the register, without putting her on notice, in the revenue records the names of the private respondents have been included and in this regard, she had approached the District Revenue Officer, Cuddalore for making necessary corrections/rectification and it is also followed by a reminder representation dated 09.09.2016 and in spite of receipt and acknowledgment, no response is forthcoming and therefore, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.

Heard the submissions of Ms.D.A.Senthamani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.S.Selvam, learned Government, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2, would submit that for having submitted the representation/appeal to the Revenue Divisional Officer, the petitioner have not enclosed any acknowledgment and he seeks time to get instructions.

Though the petitioner prays for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the Revenue Divisional Officer, Cuddalore to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and after putting respondents 3 to 8 on notice, shall pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to respondents 3 to 8.
5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
