For Petitioner : Mr.R.Sankarasubbu For Respondents : Mr.C.Emalias Additional Public Prosecutor ORDER The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the third respondent to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 07.08.2016 and to investigate the same in accordance with law.
2. The case of the petitioner is that on 07.08.2016, he was assaulted by four persons, in connection with which, he made a complaint dated 07.08.2016 to the Sub Inspector of Police, Vellore North L&O Police Station, Vellore. Though the said complaint was received vide CSR.No.148 of 2016, no enquiry was conducted and no case was registered by the third respondent police, which compelled the petitioner to make a representation to the second respondent. Even thereafter, no action was taken by either of the respondents 2 and 3. Hence, this writ petition.
3. Heard Mr.R.Sankarasubbu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the third respondent to hold appropriate enquiry on the petitioner's complaint dated 07.08.2016 and if the allegations made therein discloses commission of cognizable offence, investigate the same and file a final report or close the same as the case may be, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
5. This writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
