The petitioner is the absolute owner in possession of 5 cents of land comprised in Survey No.256/2 of Nedumpura Village of Thalappilly Taluk in Thrissur District. The petitioner submits that the property is classified as a paddy land in the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wet Land Act, 2008. The petitioner wants to construct a residential building in the above land. The petitioner submits that he has approached the Local Level Monitoring Committee-6th respondent. Thereafter, on account of not taking up the application, the petitioner approached the Sub Collector, Thrissur. By Ext.P4, the Sub Collector directed the Local Level Monitoring Committee to forward the recommendation to the District Level Monitoring Committee. It is on account of non-
W.P.(C) No.31033 of 2014 2 forwarding the recommendation; the petitioner has approached this Court.
In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the 6th respondent to take up the petitioner’s application and to take appropriate decision thereon within a period of three weeks and thereafter, the 6th respondent shall forward the same to the District Level Authorised Committee within a further period of two weeks. The District Level Authorised Committee shall take a decision within a further period of four weeks.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
