Petitioner submits that vehicle bearing registration No.KL-16L-9393 has been seized alleging violation of the provisions of the Kerala Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1967.

If the petitioner’s vehicle is involved for the offence under the Kerala Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1967, petitioner shall be permitted to compound the offence on payment of 25000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand Only) on the vehicle. On payment of the above amount, vehicle shall be released to the petitioner forthwith. If any crime is registered against the petitioner, the 5th respondent shall report composition of the offence to the competent jurisdictional magistrate. It is made clear that benefit of this order will be available to the petitioner only if the vehicle is involved in violation of the provisions of the Kerala Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1967.
The Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
