The petitioner is demanding higher amount of gratuity on the premise that benefit of 7th Pay Commission implemented w.e.f. 1.1.2016 is payable to the petitioner and gratuity and other retiral benefits paid to him as such are to be revised by the respondents.
To this submission, on instructions, Sri M.K. Kushwaha, learned Advocate for the respondents submits that the computation of the arrears payable to the petitioner is underway and the payments shall be released within the shortest possible time.
On this submission, without expressing any opinion as to the merits of claim of the petitioner, the present writ petition is being disposed of with the direction to the respondent no. 1 namely the Managing Director, U.P. State Bridge Corporation Ltd., Lucknow to ensure that computation of the arrears and other retiral dues payable to the petitioner are made and the payments shall be made, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of submission of certified copy of this order.
The details of computation made by the respondents shall also be provided to the petitioner.
