Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the record.
By means of this writ petition under Article 227 of the Constitution, the petitioner has prayed for following relief:-
"(a). Issue a direction directing the court below to decide the original Suit No. 748 of 2018 (Yasodara vs. Valmiki) pending before the court of Civil Judge Sahar (Junior Division), Jaunpur expeditiously within stipulated time as fix by this Hon'ble Court."
The suit is of the year, 2018. The evidence of the parties has not been completed. This is a widely known fact that Covid-19 is prevailing in the country and the State for the last one year and the judicial work of the courts below are also affected.
In such circumstances, no direction can be issued fixing time bound period for disposal of the suit, however, it is expected that the court concerned will not grant unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties and shall endeavour to conclude the aforesaid suit bearing Original Suit No.- 748 of 2018 as expeditiously as possible.
The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observations and directions.
It is provided that a copy of the order available on the official website of the High Court will be taken to be authentic one.
