The petitioner, herein claims to be an association of Community Health Workers of District Ballia, U.P. The grievance is that its members who are community health workers are paid honorarium of only Rs.50/= per month which is apparently inadequate, considering the task which they are asked to perform at the Community Health Centers.Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Village Health Workers are paid Rs.2000/= per month.
Learned Standing Counsel is to seek instructions from the respondents as to justification for payment of Rs.50/= only per month as honorarium.
An objection has been raised by the Taxing Officer regarding court fee paid by the petitioner regarding which learned counsel submits that as members are getting Rs.50/= only per month and also in view of the judgment of this court in case of Lalta Prasad and others Vs. Housing Commissioner U.P. (Appeal No. 63621 of 2009) decided on 8.10.2010 considering the case of Mota Singh, only one court fee is payable.
This issue shall be considered on the next date.
The petitioner has not filed its bye laws and even the list of its members is hand written. This issue shall also be considered on the next date.
