The petitioner is seeking a direction to the respondents to pay compensation with interest awarded to him in pursuance of the payment notice dated 28.3.2016 in respect of acquired land of Plot No. 413 area 0.0180 hectares and Plot No.414 area 0.0570 hectares, situate in Village Puramukund, Tehsil Badlapur, District Jaunpur.
According to the petitioner, one Rajendra Prasad Singh who is stated to be a bogus person has filed an application before the Competent Authority claiming compensation in respect of the same Plots on 15.4.2017 which has not been decided till date.
This is a pathetic state of affairs that an application which was filed on 15.4.2017 has not been decided till date even after expiry of one and half year.
We, therefore, direct the respondent no.5 Chief Revenue Officer/Prescribed Authority National Highway No. 56 (Sultanpur-Varanasi), Jaunpur to decide the application dated 15.4.2017 appended as annexure no. 4 to the writ petition, in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from today after giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned.
The writ petition stands finally disposed of .
