Heard Sri Kumar Anish , learned counsel for the petitoners and learned standing counsel for the State.
The submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitoners is that the writ petition challenging the notification under Sections 4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act ( hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') has been dismissed on 24.5.2005 and a liberty was given to the petitioner to approach the State Government for release of the land under Sectin 48 of the Act.
The grievance ofthe petitoners is that they have represented the matter to authority pursuant to the order passed by this Hon'ble Court but with no resul.
In view of the aforesaid, if the matter is lying undecided for such a long period, then it is for the petitoners to move an application alongwith the certified copy of this order before the appropriate authority who is directed to decide the matter, if not already decided, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of the order alongwith the application is received by the authority.
With the aforesaid observation, this writ petition is disposed of finally.
