JUDGMENT / ORDER

1) Rule.
Mr. H.K. Patel, learned Additional Public Prosecutor waives service of notice of Rule on behalf of the respondent No.1-State.
2) The applicant, a life convict, has prayed for parole on the ground of treatment of ailment of his son, who is suffering from the disease of calculus (kidney stone) and in spite of treatment taken earlier in the year 2008, needs further medical check up and treatment from the expert and baring on one occasion, the jail record of the applicant appears to be reasonably good and, therefore, by imposing suitable conditions, I am inclined to grant two weeks' parole to the applicant on furnishing a proper surety to the satisfaction of the Jail Authority and shall report in time on expiry of the period of parole. The applicant shall mark presence at the nearest police station to his native place once in a week during the above period.
3) The application is accordingly allowed. Rule is made absolute to the aforesaid extent.
