Petitioners are aggrieved by the order dated 28.9.2020 passed by the Additional District Magistrate, Jaunpur directing the parties to maintain status quo. Petitioners' case is that ADM has no authority under Rule 65(1) of the U.P. Revenue Code Rules, 2016 to undertake such proceedings. He, therefore prays for quashing of the impugned order.
The impugned order is only interlocutory in nature and it is open to the petitioners to approach the concerned authority and raise legal and factual objections before the competent authority and request him to adjudicate the same.
This petition is premature for the present and it can be disposed of with a direction to the Additional District Magistrate, Jaunpur that in case if the petitioner files legal and factual objections within 15 days from today, then competent authority shall make an endeavour to decide the same on its own merit within further period of 60 days.
With the aforesaid observations, the petition is disposed of.
