The petitioner has filed the instant petition seeking a direction to the trial Judge to decide the SCC Suit No. 100/2016, within a specified time. The said suit has been filed by the plaintiff-respondent against the petitioner for recovery of arrears of rent and for ejectment. A perusal of the order sheet reveals that cross-examination of the witnesses is in progress. It is stated in paragraph 13 of the petition that the petitioner is a handicapped person and his wife is doing the pairvi in the case on his behalf and she is finding it difficult to go to Court on every date.
Having regard to the facts of the case and the submissions made, the instant petition is disposed of by directing the trial Court to make all endeavour to decide the suit, expeditiously, without granting unnecessary adjournments, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
