The applicant is before this Court for a direction to initiate contempt proceeding against the opposite party for wilful disobedience of the judgement and order dated 31.5.2019 passed in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) No.1065 of 2019 (Jibrail Vs. State of U.P. and 10 others).
An affidavit of compliance was filed by the opposite party. It is stated in the affidavit of compliance that the order passed by the writ Court has already been complied with and decision has been taken on 30.08.2019, copy of which is appended as annexure 1 to the affidavit.
In this view of the matter, Court is of the opinion that the order passed by the writ court has been complied with, therefore, no cause of action remained survive.
In view of the same, the present contempt application is dismissed.
