Hon'ble Manoj Kumar Gupta,J.
By order dated 20.2.2018 in Public Interest Litigation (PIL) No. 2921 of 2018, this Court directed Tehsildar Mohammadabad, district Mau to enquire into the allegation of illegal encroachment and take appropriate action in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
Sri P.K. Giri, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel, on instructions from the opposite party, states that an eviction order was passed against the persons found in illegal encroachment on 11.4.2018 and 20.6.2018. He further states that against the order dated 11.4.2018, a writ petition was filed before this Court by one Jai Singh Yadav, and in which this Court directed for maintenance of status quo. He states that based upon the outcome of the writ proceedings or any appeal/revision, the eviction orders would be executed.
Having regard to the above position, this Court is not inclined to proceed any further in the instant matter. The contempt application is consigned to record.
