Heard Ms. R. V. Rinky, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent.
The wife of the petitioner has made an application before the District Magistrate, Jalaun for providing some financial assistance for treatment of some serious disease which is to be carried out in SGPGI, Lucknow.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that now her all financial resources stands exhausted and the petitioner is likely to die for want of medical treatment. In such circumstances, we direct the District Magistrate, Jalaun, in case any benevolent scheme floated by the State Government or by the Central Government in this regard is existence, then after verifying the veracity of the allegations made by the petitioner or his wife in the application some appropriate order be passed. It is being made clear that we have not expressed any opinion with regard to grant of any financial assistance to the petitioner and our only directions is to consider the application on its merit in the light of any benevolent scheme of the State Government or Central Government, in case such scheme is in existence.
