JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking for a direction to the opposite parties to promote the petitioner on the post of Sub-Inspector, Civil Police keeping in view the amended Rule 5(2) of Uttar Pradesh Sub-Inspector and Inspector (Civil Police) Service Rules, 2015 from the date similarly situated persons and juniors to the petitioner were promoted with all consequential benefits.
At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has made an innocuous prayer that the petitioner may be given liberty to represent his case before the competent authority.
Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the State no objection to the innocuous prayer made by petitioner.
Without entering into the merits of the case and after considering the innocuous prayer made by the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to move a fresh detailed representation along with a copy of this order before the Chairman, U.P. Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow (opposite party no.2) within ten days from today, who shall consider and decide the same in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the said representation.
With the aforesaid directions, the instant petition is disposed of.
