JUDGMENT / ORDER

1. The petitioners in all these petitions were working in the State Reserve Police Force in Group 12. It is an admitted position that the services of the petitioners have come to an end and therefore the petitioners were called upon by the impugned communication dated 20.12.2011 to vacate the Staff Quarters which were allotted to them during course of their service. The petitioners approached this Court by way of filing these Writ Petitions at the stage when the revisions were pending before the competent authority under the provisions of Bombay Police Act. This Court vide order dated 27.12.2011 passed the following order :
"Issue notice returnable on 10.1.2012.
It is made clear that, if the revision applications filed by the petitioners pending before the Revisional Authority are decided within two weeks from today, the petitioners shall vacate the quarters within a week thereafter.
Direct service is permitted".
2. Mr.
I.S. Supehia, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners as well as Mr. Rakesh Patel, learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent authorities have jointly submitted that as per the direction issued by this Court vide order dated 27.12.2011, the competent authority has heard the petitioners and the revisions have been disposed of vide order dated 9.1.2012.
3. Mr.
Rakesh Patel, learned Assistant Government Pleader on instructions from the respondent authority tenders on record of each of the petition the orders dated 9.1.2012 passed in revision applications filed by the respondent and the same are taken on record. The said orders are passed by the competent authority under section 27(A) of the Bombay Police Act, whereby the order of dismissal is confirmed. Hence, as per the assurance given before this Court the petitioners shall vacate the quarters within a week from today i.e. latest by 16.01.2012.
4. In view of the above, the petitions do not survive and the same are disposed of and the petitioners are directed to act as per earlier order dated 27.12.2011. Notice discharged. Registry to place copy of this order in all connected matters.
