1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of petitioner.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:
“(a) Issue a writ, order rule of direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the letter / order dated 22.8.2001 (Annexue no. 6 to the writ petition) issued / passed by respondent no. 3/ corporation.
(b) Issue a writ order rule or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the responent no. 3 to reinstate immediately to the petitioner on his regular post of Watchman and to pay back wages on words, regularly to the petitioner (in terms of the interim order dated 25.01.2001 passed by this Hon'ble Court in W.P. No. 3009 of 2001 U.P. State Sugar Corporation Shahganj District Jaunpur through its General Manager Vs. Labour Court, Varanasi and another) month to month alongwith other facilities permissible under law.
(c) Issue a writ, order, rule or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 3 to comply with the directions contained in the interim order dated 25.1.2001 within the period specified by this Hon'ble Court.”
3. However, I have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioner is not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioner has lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioner is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
