JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner seeks permission to exercise his right to vote in the election to the 5th respondent Society, which is to be held tomorrow. Admittedly, the petitioner's name was not included in the draft voters list published. The petitioner has not filed objection before the Electoral Officer within the time stipulated for the same. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking exercise of franchise without preferring such objection, which was an opportunity offered as per Ext.P2. The petitioner cannot be allowed to agitate such grievance without it having been taken up before the appropriate authority. The petitioner's own omission stands against him and the discretionary exercise under Article 226 is declined. The writ petition is dismissed.
