Mr.S.N.Parathasarathi, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioners have filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider their representation dated 10.04.2017 for issue of patta for the land comprised in Survey No.97/1B1 of Naravarikuppam Village, Madhavaram Taluk, Tiruvallur District, measuring an extent of 7600 sq.ft.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that though the petitioners have given a representation as early as on 10.04.2017 for the issuance of patta, the 1st respondent has not passed any order so far.
4. Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' representation dated 10.04.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 10.04.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to all the interested parties.
With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of . No costs.
