JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR
Contempt Case No.405 of 2014
DATED:12.6.2014 Between:
J.K. Raju, Hyderabad.
And Shri Anil Goswami, The Secretary, Represented by Union of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi.
… Petitioner ….Respondent THE HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR
Contempt Case No.405 of 2014
Order: (per the Hon’ble the Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) In terms of our order dated 10.6.2013, the order has been carried out with reasons. However, the petitioner, who appeared as party-in-person says that it is not an appropriate order.
We think it is not this jurisdiction in which appropriateness should be scrutinized. For this purpose, leave is granted to the petitioner to bring fresh action in accordance with law, as may be advised. However, we are not happy with the delayed obedience of the order. There are plenty of excuses. But, there cannot be an excuse why the officials could not approach this Court for having an extension when it was found that the order could not be carried out within the period. Such an approach was not made. We merely observe that due respect has not been shown by the officialdom in this matter and in future, the officials would be very careful.
The contempt case is accordingly closed with the above observations. No costs.
Let this order be communicated by the Registrar General of this Court to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Union of India, New Delhi.
