…Petitioner And The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Represented by its Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Bus Bhavan, Musheerabad, Hyderabad, Telangana State and others.
…Respondents.
THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE R.KANTHA RAO WRIT PETITION NO.22768 OF 2014 ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned standing counsel for APSRTC., appearing for the respondents.
This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents in not allowing 20 years Special Grade to the petitioners with effect from their completion of 20 years of service rendered in their respective posts of the APSRTC as bad, arbitrary, illegal, unjust, discriminatory and contrary to the circulars of APSRTC., and consequently direct the respondents to allow 20 years Special Grade/Stagnation Increment to the petitioners with effect from their completion of 20 years service in their posts as per Circular PD-04/2011, dated 12-1-2011 with proper fixation. The petitioners are employees of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) and they completed 20 years service in a single post and as per Circular dated 12-1-2011, the petitioners are entitled for 20 years Special Grade Increment, but they were not granted the said increment in spite of their repeated requests.
The issue raised in this writ petition is squarely covered by the decision of this Court in W.P.Nos.7355 of 2012 and 23783 of 2012.
Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents-APSRTC., to consider the cases of the petitioners for granting Special Grade Increment as per the circulars and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No order as to costs. The Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any shall stand closed.
