Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus to call for the records relating to the detention order passed by the second respondent pertaining to the order made in C3/D.O.No.44/2016, dated 29.07.2016, in detaining the detenu under 2(b) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, as a Bootlegger and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Prabhu, son of Arunachalam, aged about 28 years, who is detained at Central Prison, Vellore before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R
(The order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU.,J ) The petitioner, who is a friend of the detenu, Mr.Prabhu, aged about 28 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent, dated 29.07.2016, against the detenu, branding him as a “Bootlegger" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the detenu, dated 29.07.2016, has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.4679, dated 28.09.2016, and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this habeas corpus petition is dismissed as infructuous.
