High Court Of Judicature at Allahabad|27 April, 2018
|

JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 59
Case :- CONTEMPT APPLICATION (CIVIL) No. - 2279 of 2018 Applicant :- Izhar Ahmad Opposite Party :- Manjil Saini, Senior Superintendent Of Police Counsel for Applicant :- Syed Wajid Ali,Anuj Kumar Sharma
Hon'ble Yashwant Varma,J.
Despite repeated queries, learned counsel for the applicant is unable to draw the attention of the Court to any provisions of the Waqf Act 1995 in terms of which the S.S.P. may be authorized or empowered to interfere. The Court further notes that adequate provisions have been made under the Waqf Act 1995 itself for the purposes of enforcement and for preservation of the property of a Waqf.
Consequently, this Court finds no ground to initiate proceedings in contempt.
The petition is dismissed.
