Heard Sri Ayush Khanna, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri A.B.Srivastava, learned counsel for Nagar Nigam, Kanpur and the learned standing counsel.
The case of the petitioner is that application for mutation was filed by the petitioner on 11.2.2020 before respondent no.1 followed by reminder dated 24.8.2020 but the same has not been disposed of.
Learned counsel for the respondents state that no useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending, same be disposed of by giving appropriate direction to the respondent/competent authority i.e, respondent no.3.
This writ petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent no.3 to decide the pending applications dated 11.2.2020 and 24.8.2020, or a fresh application, as the case may be, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks from the date of receipt of this order, in accordance with law, by a reasoned / speaking order, under intimation to the petitioner.
