Petitioners claim that they belong to the labour class and are being forced to work as bonded labour at Dev Brick Industries Mark 1000 Village Khatki, kila Parishitgrah, Police Station Parishitgrah, District Meerut since 2019.
The petitioners by means of this writ petition want that they should be rescued from the said Brick Klin and that their wages as the working done by them be paid to them.
The question whether petitioners are actually working without wages are bonded labour is a question of fact.
In view of the above, we direct the petitioners to approach the District Magistrate, District Meerut and in case petitioners so approach, the District Magistrate shall get the matter examined and after verification may pass suitable order in accordance with law most expeditiously if possible within a period of three months.
The writ petition is disposed of.
