1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of petitioners.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioners have sought the following reliefs:
"(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to fix the teachers of the respondent collage in the grades/ scales of pay similar to those admissible to teachers/ staff of the schools and collages recognized by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, U.P., Allahabad, as applicable / revised from time to time.
(ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding respondents no. 2 and 3 to forthwith fix the petitioner in the grade/ scales of pay as aforesaid and pay arrears of salary along with interest at the rate of 18% per annum from the date the amount became due till the date of payment."
3. However, I have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
6. Sri J. Nagar, Advocate is present for respondents.
