Heard learned counsel for the applicant and Sri K.R. Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for opposite party.
The applicant is before this Court for a direction to initiate contempt proceeding against the opposite parties for willful disobedience of the order dated 08.02.2021 passed in Writ Petition No. 1889 of 2021 (Indra Pal Vs. M.D. U.P. Jal Nigam and others).
Today when the matter is taken up, Sri K.R. Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for opposite party filed affidavit of compliance, the same is on record. It is stated in paragraph 4 of the affidavit that the entire retiral dues of the applicant have been cleared, copy of the letter dated 28.09.2021 is appended as Annexure No.1 to the affidavit. It is argued that the order of the Writ Court has been fully complied with in its letter and spirit and no further cause of action would remain survived and prays for dismissal of the present contempt application.
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
In this view of the matter, this Court is of the opinion that since the order of the writ court has already been complied with, therefore, no further order is required to be passed in the matter. Accordingly, the present contempt application is dismissed.
