This writ petition has been filed with the prayer to issue a writ, order of direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondent authorities to allot/provide a house to the petitioner under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna in Village Kidiharapur, Block-Siyar, Tehsil-Belthra Road, District Ballia.
It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that for allotment of a house in his favour under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, the petitioner has already moved a representation before respondent no.2 on 24.01.2018, a copy whereof has been brought on record as Annexure No. 6 but no decision has been taken by him in the matter till today and hence, a direction be issued to respondent no.2 to decide the petitioner's representation pending before him within a specified time.
To the aforesaid prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel has no objection.
Without expressing any opinion on merits, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the District Magistrate, Ballia, respondent no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 24.01.2018 (Annexure No. 6) pending before him expeditiously preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order after making proper inquiry into the petitioner's claim.
