1. The Commissioner of Labour, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Tanguturi Anjaiah Karmika Bhavan, RTC X roads, Hyderabad, and others.
RESPONDENTS ORDER:
This writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed seeking the following relief – “……to issue a writ or direction one in the nature of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents No.1 to 4 in not considering the representations dated 21.11.2008 and 17.01.2009 for closing the business places i.e., Shops running by the Respondent No.5 on Sundays and National & Festival Holidays is illegal and violating the Andhra Pradesh Shops & Establishments Act, 1988 and Rules 1990 ”
2. The only grievance, obviously, in the writ petition is failure on the part of the respondents 1 to 4 in considering the representations dated 21.11.2009 and 17.01.2009 submitted by the petitioner herein.
3. This Court as long back as on 22.01.2009 issued Rule Nisi, but no counter affidavit has so far been filed by the respondents opposing the relief. Under these circumstances, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to dispose of the representations submitted by the petitioner.
4. For the aforesaid reasons, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to consider the representations dated 21.11.2008 and 17.01.2009 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
